About the project

Chart tools without unnecessary friction

Chart Maker is an independent collection of browser-based visualization tools and practical educational resources created by Cristian Porras.

Why Chart Maker exists

Many charting products place a signup, payment screen, or complicated design application between a person and a simple exported graph. Chart Maker focuses on the shorter workflow: add clean tabular data, choose a useful visual, customize the essentials, and download the result.

How the tools are built

The chart editors run in the browser and use Apache ECharts for visualization. CSV and Excel files are parsed on the device. Chart settings and manual data can be saved in browser storage so a returning visitor can continue where they stopped.

Editorial approach

Articles and templates are written and reviewed as part of the same project as the tools. Content aims to answer a real chart-making decision, state limitations, use concrete examples, and link directly to a useful next step. Material updates receive a visible updated date.

About the creator

Chart Maker is made by Cristian Porras, a software developer who builds practical web products. The project is maintained independently.
