Turn Excel data into a chart

Choose an XLSX or XLS workbook, review the imported table, create the right visualization, and export it without an account.

Use the general chart maker

Import your file once, then switch between chart types before you export.

Choose the chart you want to make

CSV and spreadsheet data can support several chart types. Pick the visual that matches the question you need to answer.

Prepare the worksheet

Keep the charting range simple: one header row, one label column, and one or more numeric columns. Remove decorative title rows, merged cells, subtotals, and notes from the range you plan to import. The first worksheet is read, so move the relevant table there when necessary.

Create a graph from Excel

  1. Save the workbook as XLSX or XLS.
  2. Open Chart Maker and select Choose File.
  3. Confirm that the labels and values were detected correctly.
  4. Select a chart type, colors, title, legend, and grid settings.
  5. Export PNG or SVG.

Privacy and limitations

The workbook is parsed in your browser rather than uploaded to a Chart Maker database. Chart Maker is intended for clean tabular ranges; it does not reproduce Excel pivot charts, macros, conditional formatting, or workbook formulas as editable chart features.
