Your chart data stays in your browser

Chart Maker processes CSV, Excel, and manually entered chart data on your device. The application does not send that chart data to a Chart Maker database.

Chart and project data

CSV and Excel files are parsed in your browser. Manually entered chart data, chart preferences, and Gantt project data may be stored in your browser's local storage. This makes the data available on the same browser without creating an account.

Chart Maker does not provide cloud backup. Clearing browser storage, using private browsing, or switching devices can remove locally saved work. Download or export anything important.

Website analytics

Chart Maker uses Google Analytics to understand aggregated website usage, such as visited pages, referral sources, device categories, and interactions supported by the analytics configuration. Analytics is separate from the values entered into the chart editor; Chart Maker does not intentionally send uploaded spreadsheet contents or manual chart-cell values as analytics events.
